Migrating from Gmail
Gmail will stop sending from your domain. We won’t.
From January 2027, “Send as” stops working for addresses hosted outside Google. Nilomail, launching soon, is built so [email protected] sends and receives directly, priced per domain with data in the EU. Only the waitlist is open for now.
How switching will work, in three steps
-
Add your domain
You enter the domain you use. No transfer needed: it stays where you registered it.
-
Copy the DNS records
You get the exact MX, SPF and DKIM values to paste at your DNS provider, and a check that turns green as soon as they propagate.
-
Invite your team
You add colleagues and, from the Team plan, turn
hello@ororders@into a shared inbox, with colleagues included in your plan.
What stays the same
- Your address: customers keep writing to
[email protected]. - Your domain, where it is today.
- Mail already in Gmail, which stays there for you to search.
What changes
- You will read and reply in the Nilomail web app; iOS and Android apps are on the way.
- Nilomail will not be used inside the Gmail app, Apple Mail or Outlook.
- Old messages will not be imported: your archive stays in Gmail.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch today?
Nilomail isn’t live yet: only the waitlist is open, so you can’t switch today. Join the waitlist and we’ll tell you when access opens.
Will I lose email during the switch?
No. Until you change the MX records, mail keeps arriving where it does now; afterwards it arrives in the new provider. Switch at a quiet moment and confirm with a test message.
How much does it cost?
Planned launch pricing, which may change: Nilomail is priced per domain, with users included in the plan: Solo €5 a month (1 user), Team €12 (up to 5 users, with a shared inbox) and Business €29 (up to 15 users). Pay yearly and save 17%. We’re only collecting the waitlist for now: joining doesn’t require a credit card.
When do I need to switch by?
Google says January 2027 without a specific day. Aim to finish by December 2026.
